What Is Online Databases
Online databases consist of thousands of scientific electronic journals that you can rely on when you are doing your
research or assignment. Those databases might focus on a specific area(s) or it might be a general one that represents
all subjects. Example: “#Science_direct” database focuses on engineering, information technology and science
while “#Academic_Search_Premier” database presents a wide range of subjects that includes engineering,
computer science, business, economics, political science…etc.
To search in these databases you can use either a simple search or advanced search to combine between 2 or more
subjects. If you wanted help in searching please ask a library staff or attend one of the workshops
that are provided by the Library. To reserve for a workshop please e-mail: Miss Wessam ElAbd
